Séphiroth s’entrainant avec Génésis et Angeal dans Crisis Core
Angeal déserta la Shinra à son tour, peu après. Séphiroth eut pour mission d’aller dans le village natal d’Angeal et Génésis, Banora, mais laissa la mission à Zack Fair. Lazard Deusericus supposa que Séphiroth ne voulait pas affronter ses amis et espérait que Zack arriverait à les raisonner. Après l’attaque du bâtiment Shinra par les clones de Génésis, Zack et Séphiroth durent se rendre au Réacteur du Secteur 5 de Midgar afin de retrouver Hollander et, si Angeal et Génésis se retrouvaient sur leur chemin, de les éliminer. Zack protesta, et Séphiroth ajouta qu’ils feraient semblant d’avoir échoué à les arrêter.
