Don’t Go Alone
You will first meet Chadley and gain access to his VR missions against Ramuh fairly early on in the game, and you won’t have anyone else in your party at this point. While it’s totally possible to beat Ramuh like this, it won’t feel like it. You should instead wait until Sonon is in your party, at least. Or better yet, wait until you’ve already made some story progress in the main game, and got your crew a few new items to equip. Every little helps in this battle, and an advantageous Materia might make all the difference.

Once the battle is first unlocked, party member Yuffie will likely be around Level 25.
